Last weekend I had the great opportunity to spend a few days of relaxation in Palm Springs, California. It’s just a two hour drive from Los Angeles and it offers a pleasant escape from the hectic life of a big city. I got together with my brothers & extended fam for the trip, which couldn’t have came at a better time.
I say that because the LA forecasts had predicted rain and Palm Springs was expecting plenty of sun, and even though “life is always sweeter” over this way, I desperately needed a few days of vacation to live up to that motto. Luckily for me it worked out perfectly. The spot we stayed at was adjacent to a beautiful golf course, had several private pool and jacuzzi areas, a golf cart, fridge full of cold beers, fully-stocked bar, an OG big screen TV and lovely weather. It was also full of excellent reading material, including the new “Malcolm X: A Life of Reinvention” book.
It was basically the ultimate example of “Cherch” living. I started the weekend off with some scotch and a cigar, relaxed for every minute there and had some delicious food along the way, including a BBQ, steak tacos, Costco pizza and more. My brother and I took a lot of photos that captured just some of the great times there and I have some to share below.
It’s pretty obvious that I loved it and I can’t wait to go back!
